What is a REALTOR?

  • The term REALTOR is a registered collective membership mark that identifies a real estate professional who is a member of the Local, State and National Association of REALTORS and subscribes to its Code of Ethics. Only a REALTOR can display the REALTOR logo, which is a federally registered mark licensed exclusively to members of the National Association of REALTORS. This mark represents a high standard of professional conduct in serving the interests of customers and clients.
  • Working with a REALTOR, ensures your transaction will be professionally handled, and your rights in real estate activities protected.
  • Individual REALTORS may work in some or all facets of a real estate transaction, acting as seller’s agents, buyer’s agents, dual agents or as transaction brokers.
  • The Neuse River Region Association of REALTORS is chartered by the National Association of REALTORS on November 12, 1946.
